Julie Robinson Long

Julie Robinson Long, age 44, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away on January 16, 2023, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Long was born on June 11, 1978, in Elyria, Ohio, daughter of the late Dewayne Larry Robinson and Vickie Lynn (Williams) Robinson. Julie worked as Teacher and attended the Simple Life Church. She took care of her mother after her father passed away. She was a single mother raising a son during this time. She had a lifelong passion to be a teacher. Most recently she was an Intervention teacher as a reading specialist at Pleasant Hill Elementary. Before that she worked with the drug prevention coalition in Cumberland County, going to many of our schools to educate our children about the dangers of drug use. For many years she worked in mental health, again helping many of our youngest children with their needs. She was a lifelong friend to two women who were special to her. She was willing to help and advise anyone who asked for it. She is survived by her husband, John Long II; son, Evan Robinson; and brother, Dewayne Robinson. She is preceded in death by parents. A Memorial Service will be held at the Simple Life Church on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 2:00 PM. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service.
