Jimmie Juanita Winningham

December 17, 1929 — February 17, 2025

Jimmie Juanita Winningham, born December 17th, 1929, in Cookeville, TN, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 17th, 2025, at the age of 95, surrounded by her loving family in Crossville, TN.

A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Juanita lived a life full of love and commitment to her family. She is survived by her cherished children, son Albert Dwyte Winningham, and daughters Jeanette Parsons (Robert) and Judy Hinch (Kevin).

"Granny 'Ham's" legacy continues through her treasured grandchildren: Abby Stanford (Patrick), Kacey Street (Noble), Jyl Shaver (Darren), Adam Winningham, and Jamie Young (Bo). Her beloved great-grandchildren: Baylee Hawkins (Brandon), Mercedes Norris (Tyler), Jake Parsons (Peyton), Macy Shaver, Alexis Dixon (Alex), Maxon Street, Harley Shaver, Jimmie Mae McAnally (Tucker), and Meredith Stanford, and her great-great-grandchildren Hudson and Haddie Hawkins, Axel and Emmie Parsons, Ace and Archer Norris, and Rivvy Jo Dixon, will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Howard Winningham; her parents, Curtis Henry Boatman and Nola Boatman; and her grandson, Wade Parsons. Her enduring love and life lessons will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Our “Granny Ham” has gone home to be with the Lord & the loved ones who are waiting for her there. We are so thankful she is restored to perfect health, but we will miss her dearly. Granny’s house was a childhood gathering place for the great-grands. Every sick day, snow day, and holiday, we knew where all of our cousins would end up. Because of her, our extended family saw each other regularly, and while we didn’t fully understand it at the time, now that we are older, we appreciate what a gift that was. How blessed we were to spend so much of our childhoods & adult lives with two living great-grandparents. Love, Macy and all the kids.

Juanita spent her years working diligently as a factory worker, demonstrating a remarkable work ethic and resilience. She had an unwavering dedication to her family.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Juanita's life at a funeral service on Friday, February 21st, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Bilbrey Funeral Home in Crossville, Tennessee. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
