Dorothy Rogerson

January 6, 1929 — September 12, 2022

Dorothy (Marinkovich) Rogerson, age 93, of Crossville, TN, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2022 at Hospice of Cumberland County. Mrs. Rogerson was born on January 6, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late Anne and Nichola Marinkovich. She is survived by her husband, William Rogerson; daughter Susan Lynn (Schatzman) Pearce and her husband Jim; son Kenneth William Schatzman and his wife Diana; son-in-law Sean Donovan; grandson Andrew Thomas Schatzman and his wife Samantha; grandson Kaelan Macauley Donovan; and greatgrandson Grayson Jay Schatzman. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother and his wife Milan and Betty Marinkovich; and her eldest daughter Carol Ann Donovan. She worked as an administrator and retired from the legal department of Beaumont Hospital in the 1990s, when she moved to Crossville, TN with her husband. There are no services scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Alzheimer's Association or the Hospice of Cumberland County. Dorothy enjoyed playing golf with her husband and tennis with her friends. She loved shopping and had excellent taste in interior design. Her home has always been warm and inviting. Her doors were always open, her guest room was always beautiful, and the details always thoughtful. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed entertaining friends and family. She shared recipes and advice with her children, played games around the table with them in the evenings and spent quality time with her grandchildren. But her day-to-day joy and peace came from time spent with her husband, Bill, the man she truly enjoyed spending the rest of her life with.
