William Marshall

William Charles Marshall, age 78, of Crossville, TN, passed away at his home on February 19, 2022. He was born on May 3, 1943, in Pleasant Hill, TN, son of the late Vasco Marvin Marshall and Cleo (Brown) Marshall. William was a craftsman. He worked for furniture stores where he rebuilt and refinished various items. William taught himself to burn-in spots in the furniture. He loved to build pretty tables for his wife. William made wonderful flower beds out of rock. He loved flowers. He built street rods and loved old cars. William enjoyed modifying them also. He was also a great car detailer. William loved God and his family first. He always kissed his kids when they went to bed. William believed in working hard and being proud of your work. He passed that down to his children. William and his wife were together for 57 years and he will be missed awfully bad. He worked hard and tried to give his family everything. He was the best Father, Grandfather, and Husband you could ask for. William was loved so much by his family. He loved Tennessee. He is survived by his Wife-Patricia (Kirkpatrick) Marshall; Children-Tracy Marshall, Vincent Marshall (Tara), Gale Marshall Dodd (Jerry), Leasa Marshall, Charles Allen Wilkins, Bruce Marshall, Berguittia Marshall, and Greg Johnson (Trish); Brother - Cordell Marshall (Jackie), Tommy Marshall (Shelia), Danny Marshall (Susan); Sister - Dorothy Burke (Lee), Audrey O'Dell (Dennis), Barbara Carlton; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Daughter- Gidget Swafford; Brother - Steve Marshall. Funeral Services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 2:00 PM. Burial followed at Browntown Cemetery. Arrangements and Care provided by Bilbrey Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
