William "Billy Joe" Kirkland

Funeral Services for William “Billy Joe” Kirkland, age 71 of Crossville, TN, who passed away on November 29, 2021 will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the Chapel at Bilbrey Funeral at 1:00 PM. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to Funeral Service. He was born on January 22, 1950 in Crossville, TN to Ruby and Richard Kirkland, raised by Ruby and Richard Gardner. He is survived by three children: Brenda Gabor, Cathy Conflitti (Joe), and Billy Kirkland (Kelly), six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He had two brothers Roy and Dennis Kirkland. Bill served in the United States Army and went to General Motors where he retired. He toyed at constructing business ideas and the perseverance of a true entrepreneur. He also loved nature, outdoors, hunting and being in the woods. He appreciated dining out and wild game dinners. He developed a recent interest in politics, in addition he enjoyed learning about history, American Indians, and collecting Native American memorabilia. He was a very kind man, beloved father, son, brother, friend, and will be missed dearly.
