Virginia "Mae" Turner

Virginia "Mae" Turner, age 91, of Crossville, TN, passed away on May 5, 2023, at Life Care Center of Crossville.

Mrs. Turner was born on November 14, 1931, in Anstead, West Virginia, daughter of the late William Jennings Bryant Shafer and Sadie (Trent) Shafer.

Virginia worked in housekeeping at the hospital and was a member of Lantana Church of Christ and Steven's Gap Church of Christ.

She is survived by children, Carolyn Sue Anzaldua, Brenda Faye Cannon and her husband, Marshall, Ann Davis, and Paul Turner; grandchildren, Melisa, Tamy, Lisa, Bryan, Buddy, John, April, Joe, Shannon, Mary Ann, Dean and Angel; 31 great grandchildren and 26 great great grandchildren; and sister, Rosie Morris.

In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Turner; daughter, Rebecca Lynn Smith; grandson, Timmy Smith; granddaughter, Tina Hixon; sister, Dottie Lacheck; brother, Edward Sutton; and sons-in-law, Ruben Anzaldua and Elmer Davis.

Funeral Service will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Lantana Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
