Venita Laura McAlvey, age 92, of Crossville, TN, passed away on January 25, 2022, at Cumberland Medical Center. She was born on October 15, 1929, in Evansville, Indiana to the late Carl F. and Lena Krietenstein. Venita was of the Methodist Faith. Venita was an intelligent, strong, feisty woman who dearly loved her family and God. She was a long-time golfer and an avid tennis and bridge player. Wherever she lived, she was very involved in her church and her community. She was generous with her time and talents – a constant and tireless volunteer. Venita enjoyed traveling the world and being a member of garden clubs, ladies’ clubs, and Lions. She was a wonderful hostess and loved entertaining in her home. Her creativity and exquisite taste afforded her the ability to run her own successful interior design business for years. She is survived by her husband - Warren McAlvey; Daughter - Ramona Deal; Son - Brian Graves and wife Cathy; Granddaughters – Jacqualine and Kaila; Grandson - Brenton Deal; and 3 Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters Virginia and Elvera and brother Carl. Venita leaves behind a gaping hole in the hearts of her family and numerous friends and will be forever remembered and missed Memorial Service will be held at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 12, 2022.
