Teddy Harold Ramsey

Teddy Harold Ramsey (90) left this earth to meet Jesus on March 7, 2025. A resident of Crossville, TN. He passed away at Diversicare Nursing Home in Oak Ridge. Harold was born January 20, 1935, in Fentress County, TN. He was the first born of Kenneth Cordell and Addie Pearl (Durham) Ramsey. He went to work following 8th grade in sawmills, timber yards and rock quarries. In 1964 he went to work for the University of Tennessee Experiment Station – Grassland in Crossville. He retired after 35 years and spent the rest of his life raising cows and gardens. He remained active in farming up until the last couple of years. He was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church. Harold is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anna Grace (Clark) Ramsey; daughter, Nancy Ramsey; son, Stephen Ramsey and grandchildren, Emma, Clark, Gwyn, and Owen. He is survived by his siblings; Joyce (Donald, d.) Whaley, Mary June (Chester, d.) Steelman, and Paulette (Thomas) Christian. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Haskell and Henry (Wilma, d.) Ramsey and sister Sadie (Lonnie, d.) Sullivan. A loving husband and father, a loyal friend and neighbor, his body will be laid to rest until the resurrection with graveside services at Hillcrest Cemetery in Big Lick on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 1:00pm, officiated by her his, Rev. Stephen Ramsey. Pallbearers will be Clark Ramsey, Owen Ramsey, Alton Maxwell (lifelong friend and brother-in-law), Keith Bray(nephew), David Bray (nephew) and Tommy Melton (deacon). Honorary pallbearers are Ken Bray (brother-in-law) and Neil Cook (neighbor). He will be greatly missed. Arrangements and Care provided by Bilbrey Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
