Sheila Faye Wood, a beloved member of the Cookeville, Tennessee community, passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 80. Sheila was born on August 28, 1944, in Loudon County, Tennessee, to her late parents John Harvey Jones and Sabra (McNeeley) Jones. Sheila dedicated much of her life to her career as a secretary, where her kindness and attention to detail touched the lives of many colleagues and friends. Her role was more than just a job; it was her passion, and her dedication was well respected throughout her career. A cherished mother and grandmother, Sheila is survived by her loving daughter, Sharon Rose (Scott), and her son, Mark Wood. She was the proud grandmother to Jordin Forster, Jack Rose, Tyler Rose, and Kyle Rose, for whom she held profound pride and affection. Sheila is also survived by her siblings, Jim Jones, John Jones, Selena Cunningham, Sharon Moore, and Sandy Trujillo, who remember her as a caring and supportive sister. Sheila was preceded in death by her dearly missed husband, Jimmy Wood, with whom she shared many wonderful years of marriage. Friends and family are warmly invited to honor Sheila's life at a funeral service, which will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home in Crossville, Tennessee, on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. The arrangements have been entrusted to Bilbrey Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Sheila will be remembered for her boundless compassion, her deep love for her family, and her unwavering commitment to those she loved. Her legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew her.
