Sharron Wrae Botsford (hereafter Sherry), beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at Good Samaritans facility on March 7, 2024, with her husband at her side. Sherry is survived by her husband, Richard Botsford, three daughters and one son, Trudee, Shellie, Debi, and David; six grandchildren, Nichole, Michael, Jessica, Jennifer, Nadia, and Moustafa; four great grandchildren, Adam, Ava, Aidan, and Minnah. Sherry and twin sister Shirley were born in Tracy Minnesota on August 16, 1935, daughters of William and Mabel Galbraith. She graduated from Pensacola, FL high school in 1953 and lived most of her adult life in Rockford, IL. Sherry and Richard were married in 1978 and between them raised their four children. She had a 20-year career with the General Electric Company as a sales engineer. She retired in 1985 and opened a craft gift store in Roscoe, IL. She also worked as the office manager for her husband’s electrical contracting business. She and her husband retired in 1991 and moved to Summerfield, FL. While living in Florida she volunteered in the Guardian Ad Litem program for abused children through the Marion County, FL Judicial system. She did some paralegal work and was Vice President of the community HOA. In 1996 they built a home in Fairfield Glade, TN and lived there to the present day. Sherry was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church, she served on the Church Congregational Council, was a greeter, usher, communion assistant and sang in the Praise Service. In addition, she was a past Vice President of the Fairfield Glade Ladies Club. Sherry loved music and sang with a Sweet Adalines group for several years. She enjoyed: reading, knitting and needle point work, was a very good Mah Jongg player and taught some in the Glade, volunteered at the Good Samaritan facility, and loved sports, outdoors and travel. Sherry was a warm, friendly person and treated all people with warmth and respect. There were no strangers in her life. She deeply loved her Lord and Savior. Sherry and her husband’s journey together will continue. A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Lutheran Church on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Fairfield Glade Ladies Club Scholarship Fund.
