Sharon Kay Emerson-Brady

April 1, 1968 — November 7, 2024

. Sharon Kay Emerson-Brady, age 56, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away on November 7, 2024, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. This boring old world was blessed with the arrival of Mrs. Emerson-Brady on April 1, 1968. Yes, April Fools’ Day and more than one of her daughters had a bit more fun with this than what we probably should have through the years. Sorry about the Saran Wrap on the toilet Mom, but you were the one that fell for it more than once.. and the stickers left upside down on the seat that you were still finding stuck inside your pants when you did the laundry days later. Sharon was born in Jamestown, Tennessee, the first born child and daughter of Bonnie (Jones) Emerson and Dudley Emerson. Anyone that knew her at all knew that her momma was her rock and the person she loved and admired the most out of everyone in the whole wide world. She often commented on how she wanted to be just like her when she grew up and continued to make that comment well into her thirties, forties, and yes, even her fifties. She found her calling in a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse, specializing in geriatric care. She always had a soft spot for the elderly and put everything she had into giving her patients the best and most loving care possible, often going far above and beyond what was actually required of her in order to make sure they knew just how much they mattered. In addition to the impact she had on this world in her nursing career, she was also Batman. No, really, she was and we have the pics to prove it. If you had the pleasure of having her in your life at all, you already know she was wild as the wind and stubborn as a mule but also one of the kindest, most fun, genuine and generous people you could ever hope to meet. She was loved by so many people and will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ronald Brady- she got lucky with that one and finally found the one thing she wanted all her life, a love like her Mamaw and Pa had; daughters, Amanda Kay Mann (Anthony), Latisha Dawn Neal (Lewis), Dana Denise Cross (Chris), and Michael Kate Hubbard (Cody); 18 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; parents, Bonnie and Dudley Emerson. She is preceded in death by her brothers whom she loved and had missed terribly ever since they’d been gone, Gerald Emerson and Douglas Emerson. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, (her brother Gerald’s birthday) at 1:00 PM at Janesville Cemetery in Fentress County with Mary Kimbro officiating. Pallbearers will be Hayden Mann, Christopher Lawson, Blaze Cross, Ronald Brady, Anthony Mann, Lewis Neal, Chris Cross and Cody Hubbard, her grandsons, her husband and the poor souls that have to put up with her daughters.
