Ruth Ventress

Ruth spent her life doing what she loved, caring for others or helping someone in need. This led to her becoming an LPN, which was one of her proudest achievements. She spent many years taking care of other people in this profession, including time as a Traveling Nurse. She was always going where she was needed.

Ruth has gone home now, embraced in the loving arms of her Mama Effie and Papa Henry Rogers as well as her son Johnny, granddaughter Debbie, great grandson Joshua, great great granddaughter Nora, and all 6 of her siblings.

Her caring legacy has been passed on to over 100 descendants which includes 4 children, 18 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, and 21 great great grandchildren.

Ruth was a special woman and will be missed greatly.

Services will be held for Ruth on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Bilbrey Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 5pm-6pm with service to follow at 6pm.
