Roy Lee Day

Roy Lee Day, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26th, 2024, in Crossville, Tennessee. Born on Thursday, March 27th, 1941, in Fayetteville, West Virginia, Roy lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to others. Roy was a skilled electrician whose work was respected and admired by all who knew him. His career was marked by integrity and a commitment to excellence, qualities that he carried into every aspect of his life. Roy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Freda Belle Day, his father, John Day, his mother, Ouida Mae Day, and his son, Steven Lee Day. Despite these profound losses, Roy remained a pillar of strength for his family and friends. He is survived by his devoted son, Michael Day, and daughter-in-law, Julia, both of Crossville, TN. Roy's legacy continues through his cherished grandsons, Brandon Day (Macy Cravens), and Steven Day (Savannah). He was also the proud great-grandfather to Novalee Davis. Roy is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Phyllis Treadway and Linda Tury, as well as several nephews. His adoring pets, Peachy, Sissy, and Spud, were constant companions who brought him much joy. The family will receive friends at a visitation on Monday, December 30th, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Crossville, Tennessee. A funeral service to celebrate Roy's life will follow at 7:00 pm at the same location. Family and friends will meet at the church on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 10:00 AM for a procession to Green Acres Memory Gardens for a committal service. Roy Lee Day will be remembered for his warm heart, his unwavering dedication to his family, and the kindness he showed to everyone he met. He leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that will continue to inspire those who knew him. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bilbrey Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
