Roselle Godsey

Roselle Godsey, age 98, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away on January 11, 2023, at her home. She was born on June 8, 1924, in Crossville, Tennessee, daughter of the late Earl Oakes and Carrie Loucreshia (Parham) Oakes. Roselle worked in the cafeteria for the Cumberland County School System. She was a member of Chestnut Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Gerald Godsey (Mary); daughters, Tammie Dyer (James), Sue Hopper (Billy), and Angie Hall; grandchildren, Carla Ehrsam, Billy Hopper, Jr., Harold Qualls, Jr., Mark Qualls, Tommy Godsey, Kelly Stephens, and Charleigh Dyer; 11 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Roselle is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas William Godsey; daughters, Carol Godsey and Charlotte Qualls; sister, Hazel Taylor; and brothers, Denny, Herman, Hershell, Doyle, Carl, Stitzel, Coleman, Haskell, and Estel Oakes. Funeral services will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 3:00 PM with burial to follow at Crossville City Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 prior to the service.
