Robert Howard Stackhouse, age 79, of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, died January 31, 2022. Bob fought his disease as he lived his life, with dignity, hope and faith. He was born July 7, 1942 in New York City to Mildred Cerny Stackhouse and Howard J. Stackhouse. He graduated with a BS in Accounting from Susquehanna University. His career began in New York as a CPA. He continued in Finance with management positions for ADP Network Services and other companies in New York, New Jersey and Michigan. He was the President and CEO of Boris Systems, Inc. in Lansing, Michigan and continued his business management expertise for other startup companies. He moved to Fairfield Glade in 2006 with his wife, Joyce. He loved golf, reading and dogs. He was active in the community with various volunteering, including Good Samaritan’s Board of Advisors and the national Good Samaritan Foundation. He was one of the founders of the FFG Dog Park, and served on the Fairfield Glade Community Club’s Board of Directors for six years, two of which he was President. He belonged to the Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church where he was also very active. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Kier Stackhouse; sons Robert F. Stackhouse (Serena), Todd D. Stackhouse; stepson Jeremy M. Kidd (Nicki) and three wonderful grandsons, Bobby Stackhouse, Jacob Stackhouse and Landon Kidd. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard J. Stackhouse; mother, Mildred Cerny Dawe and stepfather, Walter E. Dawe. Bob’s family and many friends will miss his positive attitude, quick wit and great laugh. Memorial services will be held at a later date at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Salvation Army, Hospice of Cumberland County or FOCCAS would be much appreciated.
