He married his high school sweetheart, Sue Myers Breeding, on March 26, 1960. They have two children, Robert (Bob) Breeding, Jr., married to Mary Potter Breeding and Angel Suzanne Myrick, married to David Myrick. The granddaughters are Emalee Sue Breeding, Kaylee Elizabeth Breeding, Sophie Suzanna Turner, and Stephanie Lauren Turner of Crossville. He also has step grandsons, Evan Myrick (Cait), Sean Myrick, Josh Myrick, and step great grandsons, Kobe and Gabe Myrick, all of Chattanooga. Robert always said his greatest gifts in life were his children and grandchildren, all of whom he adored. Robert is survived by his sisters Mary McNutt (Joe, deceased) of Crossville and Ruth Beason (Harry) of Knoxville, and his sister-in-law Dianne Blaylock (Glenn) of Crossville. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Billie Breeding, Jr. (Glenna), General Wirt Breeding, and Bobby Joe Breeding and sister, Frances Marie Breeding, sisters-in-law Marie Randolph (Keggy), Mildred Pugh (O.D.) and Chris Boston (Hook) and brother-in-law, Speck Myers (Jean) and in-laws George Edward Myers and Artie Watson Myers. Robert graduated from Homestead High School, class of 1958 where he was honored as Mr. Homestead High, Best All Around, State FFA Awards, Boys State, and Captain of the football team. He never lost his love for the Homestead community and was honored to be a part of the original families. He was proud to live and raise his family on his Cumberland Homestead farm. Robert graduated from Tennessee Tech in June 1965 and began his career with Tennessee Farmers Cooperative as an Accountant/Auditor. He received his CPA license in March of 1992 and was a member of the Tennessee Society of Public Accountants. Being raised on a farm, he loved the farm life, and he loved working with the farmers. He retired from TFC with over 40 years of service. After retirement, he enjoyed several years as a volunteer in various offices at Cumberland Medial Center. Robert was a deacon at First Baptist Church and served as Treasurer for 43 years. He lived his life to serve God and others. He loved his Lord, his family, his church, and his many friends. Robert had a rare sense of humor that those around him greatly enjoyed. His voice was soft, his steps were light, but he left an imprint on the hearts of the people who knew him. Having been debilitated by Parkinson’s Disease, Robert has been lovingly cared for by his family and the dedicated staff at Dominion Senior Living for the last several years. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Dominion Senior Living at 887 Woodlawn Rd. Crossville, TN 38555 or to First Baptist Church at 712 S. Main St. Crossville, TN 38555.
