Raymond Earl Macdonald

October 12, 1942 — February 3, 2025

Raymond E. MacDonald, 82, of Crossville, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 3, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Ray was born on Oct. 12, 1942 in Hyde Park, MA and was the son of the late Alexander and Irma MacDonald. He was predeceased by three brothers and a sister. He proudly served in the Army National Guard for six years and was a true patriot. He was a skilled machinist and worked for West Hill Machine, Mendon, MA. He married his loving wife, Marian in 1979 and lived in Uxbridge, MA for 31 years. They retired to the Plateau Mountains, Crossville, TN in 2010 and continued to enjoy many years traveling, motorcycling and camping throughout the US. His many friends became his TN family. He was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Club, The Good Sam Young at Heart Camping Club, Celtic Circle, Crossville Woodturners, Fair Park Line Dancers and several square dance clubs and a parishioner at St. Raphael’s Episcopal Church. Survivors include his loving wife, Marian (Bonenfant); granddaughter, Sarah Ayotte, RI; brothers, Edward (Barb) Kennebunk, ME and Jim (Teresa), Sevierville, TN; and sister, Irma (Rodney)Banks, Uxbridge, MA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews in MA, RI and Maine. “Uncle Ray” will always be remembered by nieces and nephews for his fun and loving ways. Visitation will be held at St. Raphael’s Episcopal Church, 1038 Sparta Hwy. Crossville, TN on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 10 - 11:00 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM.
