Patricia Davies Davison

Patricia Davies Davison, age 99, of Crossville, TN, passed away at Standing Stone Rehabilitation Center on January 25, 2024. Mrs. Davison was born on June 3, 1924, in Ceres, CA, daughter of Benjamin Davies McLeod and Martha (McElwee) McLeod. Patricia was a Pianist from a very early age. Patricia and her sisters played together as a trio beginning in early childhood. They played together at their church and in the communities surrounding Modesto California. Patricia married Russell Davison Jr. of Long Beach California and after their marriage moved to his hometown of Long Beach California. There Patricia became the accompanist to the Long Beach Civic Light Opera, Singers Workshop of Long Beach, played the Pipe Organ and was the Pianist for the Los Altos Methodist church for many years. She also was an active member of the Long Beach Community Hospital Auxiliary. In 1964 she was named Woman of the Year by the Long Beach Independent-Press Telegram for her innovative development of a music program for the “Long Beach Retarded Children’s Foundation”. In 1970 Patricia and Russ moved to a home in Anaheim Hills, California. There she became a Pianist at Nordstrom Newport Beach for over twenty years as well as the pianist for the Brinderson Towers in Upper Newport Beach. In addition to her career as a pianist she was selected to serve as a paraprofessional in the UCLA Extension Program as a Lay Counselor in a community program entitled “Developing Personal Potential”. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Florence Crittenton Home in Anaheim. In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Aubrey Davison Jr., and sisters Jean McLeod Ball and Margaret McLeod Taylor. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Dutcher. Patricia will be interred with her husband Russell at Riverside Memorial Park in Riverside California.
