Onza "Lonnie" Morgan

Onza “Lonnie” Morgan of Davies, FL, passed away on April 6, 2024. Lonnie was born in Harlan County, KY. He joined the Army and served in the 82nd Airborne Division during his four years of military service. He and his wife Estelle raised their family in the Indianapolis, IN area where Lonnie worked 30 years for General Motors as a machinist. Upon retiring Lonnie and Estelle moved to Crab Orchard, TN. During his years on the Cumberland Plateau, Lonnie spent his time fishing, gardening, hunting, serving his neighbors, and his local Baptist church. He and Estelle welcomed family and friends to their home, providing a place of rest and retreat for those who visited. Lonnie and Estelle were married 65 years and had four children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his son Dennis and daughters Linda and Teresa, brother Donnie, sister Judy, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lonnie is now reunited with his wife Estelle, son Tony, grandson Morgan, granddaughter Angela, sister Ethel Marie, and his parents. Graveside service will be held at the Hebbertsburg Cemetery on Saturday, April 13 at 11:00 AM with Bro. David Mahan officiating. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc (www.bilberyfh.com) oversaw the arrangements.
