Mary Jane Kirkland

Mary Jane (Janie) Kirkland, age 82, of Crossville, TN, passed away at Signature Healthcare of Putnam County on June 23, 2023.

Ms. Kirkland was born on October 23, 1940, in Crossville, Tennessee, daughter of the late Ernest Burden and Ida (Tollett) Burden.

Janie loved spending time with her family and friends, gardening and fishing in her spare time. She also loved taking care of her schnauzer Bentley, whom she lovingly referred to as her baby.

She is survived by her daughters, Darla Frazier (Keith), Angie Reagan (Earl); Grandchildren, Jessica Sherrill, Jonathan Frazier (Jennifer), Tiffany Frazier, Jerrica Watson (T.J.); 12 Great Grandchildren; and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Ernest Burden Jr. and sisters, Betty Lou and Willie Mae Burden.

Funeral Service will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 1:00 PM with Bro. Chip Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Haley's Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11:00 to 1:00 PM prior to the service.
