Lorene Barnett

Lorene Lowe Barnett, age 96, passed away December 28, 2021, at L & L Sweet Home Care in Knoxville, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Allen Barnett; parents, Frank and Eliza Lowe; sisters, Pauline Kerley, Aline Davis and Irene Austin. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Wright and husband Ralph; granddaughter, Mary Ann Wright; great-grandchildren, Merida and Wright; and wonderful friends, A.L. and Ronnie Woody. The family wishes to thank the staff at L & L Sweet Home Care and the staff at Amedisys Hospice for their loving care of Lorene. She taught elementary school for 45 years in Cumberland and Roane counties. She was generous to a fault and will be remembered for helping many people in many ways over the years. A graveside service will be held at Hyder Cemetery on Friday, December 31, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be immediately following.
