He is survived by his son, Braxton Thornton; parents, Alex and Heather (Lail) Thornton; brother, Jacob Thornton; maternal grandmother, Cathy Lail; maternal great grandmother, Anna Scholtz; and paternal grandfather, Jerry Thornton. He is preceded in death by his sister, Alyssa Thornton; maternal grandfather, Danny Lail; and paternal grandmother, Rose Branson.
