Lillie Elizabeth Lewis

Lillie Elizabeth Lewis, age 86, of Pleasant Hill, TN, passed from this earth at 6:35 AM on this the 18th day of December, 2021 at Cumberland Medical Center, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born in Cumberland County, the eldest daughter of Columbus (Fate) Lewis and Nova Lee Rector Lewis. She was a homemaker and babysat numerous children, both in Ohio and Tennessee, over her 86 years in which she loved as her own. She enjoyed working word-search books, reading, jigsaw puzzles, collecting pretty and unusual rock formation and looking for arrowheads. You would always find her watching Judge Judy and nothing made her happier than spending time with her family. She is survived by her two sons, Vernon Lewis (Jennifer) of Pleasant Hill, TN and Tracy Lewis (Amy) of Pleasant Hill, TN; daughter, Lisa (Danny) Hatfield of Pleasant Hill, TN; grandchildren, Bridgette L. Lewis, Erica M. Lewis, Judd E. Lewis, Kristian H. Lewis, Brandon K. Lewis Tyler J. Lewis and Jessica Thomas; great-grandchildren, Levi Gordon Lewis and Indy Reed Ramey; brothers, Mackie Lewis (Linda) of Dayton OH and Doug Lewis (Patsy) of Crossville, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 30 years, Gordon L. Lewis and her sister Aleese Brown. Her ashes will be laid to rest with her husband at Bolin Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Tennessee Inc. Foundation. Bilbrey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
