Lawrence "Larry" Ernest Barga

Lawrence “Larry” Barga (83) of Fairfield Glade, TN, passed away at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, TN on May 2, 2024. Mr. Barga was born on November 7, 1940, in Versailles, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, John L. and Emerita (Simon) Barga; brothers, John Barga (Janice), Robert “Gus” Barga (Norma), and James Barga (Sadie); sisters, Virginia Harmon (Clifford), and Betty Lehmkuhl (Lester). Larry is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sonja; sisters, Patricia Beck and Joan Smith; and brother, Edward Barga (Joyce). Mr. Barga graduated from Versailles High School in Versailles, Ohio and earned an Associate’s Degree from Miami Jacobs College in Dayton, Ohio. Larry served in the United States Navy and was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was retired from Bamal Fastener in Sidney, Ohio. Larry was married to Sonja Felty on November 24, 1979 in Tipp City, Ohio. The couple resided in Tipp City from 1979 to 2007, after which they moved to Fairfield Glade Resort in Tennessee. Larry was an avid golfer and Ohio State Buckeye fan. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements and care provided by Bilbrey Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
