Kathleen Thomas

Kathleen Mary Thomas, age 76, of Crossville, TN, passed away at her home on September 16, 2024. Mrs. Thomas was born on May 14, 1948, in Chicago, IL, daughter of the late George Hoch and Elna Fae Hoch. Kathleen was an RN and Nursing Instructor at Tennessee College of Applied Technology. She was an LPN graduate of Joliet Junior College in Joliet, IL; RN graduate of Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, IL; and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration at St. Francis University in Naperville, IL. She is survived by her son, James "Daniel" Thomas, Jr. (Thelma); daughters, Mary Jane Thomas, Susan Fae Thomas and Rebecca Ellen Scroggins; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and sister, Nancy Marc. In addition to her parents, Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel “JD” Thomas, Sr.; brothers, George Hoch, Jr. and David Hoch; and sister, Linda Dennis. Funeral Service will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at New Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Arrangements and Care provided by Bilbrey Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
