Judith Denton Quillen, 87, passed away May 9, 2022. Judy was born September 17, 1934 to Dr. Edwin B. and Ruth Orr Denton in Abingdon, Virginia. She was a great wife, mother, and teacher, but a spectacular Grammy. She is survived by her husband of 64 years John H. Quillen, her daughters Laura (Pat) Hobbs and Becky (Keith) Hulsey, grandchildren David Hobbs, Maggie Hobbs, Katie Hulsey (Sam) Miller, John (Emily) Hulsey, Mark Hulsey, Annie Hulsey, and great granddaughter Emma Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents and her only sibling, Ruth Denton Angleman (they have 28 years of catching up). Judy would probably get her red pen out for this obit, but wouldn’t take off points for turning it in late. This is an assignment we didn’t want to have to write.
