Joann Eddlemon Jackson

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of JoAnn Eddlemon Jackson, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. JoAnn was born on April 16th, 1942, in the small town of Kenton, TN. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 10th, 2024, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, TN.

JoAnn was the cherished daughter of the late Henry and Christine Eddlemon and the devoted wife of the late Dr. John Michael Jackson. She was preceded in death by her dearly loved husband, parents, and her grandparents, fondly known as Big Mama and Big Daddy.

JoAnn's love for her family was boundless, and her memory will be carried forward by her children: sons Dr. Michael R. Jackson and Andrew Jackson and his wife Hillary, and her daughter Dr. Michelle Jackson and her husband Scott Layton. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Callie and her husband Preston, Mia and her husband Austin, John, Aubrey, Samuel, Thomas, and Bodhi, as well as her great-grandchildren Tyler and Hillary. She is also survived by her dear sister-in-law, Ann Jackson.

The family is deeply grateful for the love and support shared during this difficult time.

A visitation will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home in Crossville, TN, on Sunday, November 17th, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm, to commemorate JoAnn's life and to celebrate the indelible mark she left on everyone who knew her with burial to follow at City Cemetery.

JoAnn will be dearly missed by her community, friends, and family. She lived a life of love, dedication, and humility, setting an example for all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will forever be a source of inspiration and love.
