James Ronald Powers

James Ronald Powers, age 79, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away on February 9, 2024, at Cumberland Medical Center. Mr. Powers was born on February 15, 1944, in Eagleville, Tennessee, son of the late John Ivie Powers and Lela Pearl (McClaran) Powers. James worked as an Environmental Consultant. He also served as President of the Middle Tennessee State University National Alumni Association. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Jane Powers; sister, Lela Francis Powers; nephews, Jack Troy Vaughn, Jr. (Brenda Lynn) and Terry Ivan Getz (Marsha); as well as great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Ivie Powers; and sisters, Wanda Powers Getz and Jean Powers Vaughn. No services are scheduled at this time.
