James Pikora

James Pikora, age 71, of Crossville, TN, passed away on September 1, 2022, following a brief illness at Cumberland Medical Center. He was born on October 3, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Casimir Pikora and Irene (Yakey) Pikora. He grew up in Hamtramck, Michigan and graduated from St. Ladislaus High School. He served in the US Army, stationed at Long Binh Army Base, Viet Nam 1970-1971. James retired from Centurylink in Leesburg Florida and had also worked for many years in the steel industry in Michigan. He loved to golf and was looking forward to living in our new home on the Lake Tansi golf course in Crossville, Tennessee. He was an incredible father, an amazing husband, the best big brother, and a great friend to all. He was kind, hilarious, selfless and loved to make people laugh. We miss him beyond words, but we are comforted by all the special memories we have and the knowledge that he is at peace in Heaven. He is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Glenna (Pond-Scott) Pikora; children, Michelle (Mike) Brothers, Christopher, Jeffrey, Shannon (Bryan) Ogg, April (Ricky Little), Heather (Carrie) Scott, John Scott and Christine (Colby Diamond) Scott ; sisters, Diane (Mark) Szkil and Catherine (Mike) Witkowski ; grandchildren, Alyssa Fournier, Dylan Fournier, Johnny Little, Landon Little and Aiden Diamond; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan at a later date. A celebration of life will also be planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his favorite charities, Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
