Glenn E. Vest

Glenn E Vest, age 73, of Crossville, TN, passed away on September 23, 2022 in Huntsville, AL. Mr. Vest was born on June 17, 1949, in Christiansburg, VA, son of the late Curtis Vest and Evelyn (Sisson) Vest. Glenn worked as a water treatment plant operator and went to Pine Eden Baptist Church. He enjoyed hiking and traveling with his wife, Joan. He was a fan of racing, and he enjoyed cars of all kinds as well as working on them. He was devoted to his Savior, Jesus Christ, his church, and his family, always ready to help anyone in need at a moment’s notice. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan (Carey) Vest; daughters, Martha Vest, Erin Rogers (Jesse) and Kari Meek (Phil); grandchildren - Michael VanWinkle (Khrystal), Kristen Richardson (Zakk), Abby Clark, Leah Rogers, Kennedy Rogers, Nick Meek, Jimmy Meek, and Joanna Meek; great grandchildren - Zeke Richardson, Lydia Richardson and Erasmus VanWinkle; brothers, Steven Vest (Sue) and Charles Vest (Kathy); sisters in law: Marilyn Bowman , Jacqueline Neal (Luther), Judy Carey, Wanda Sanderson (Art), and Sandy Campbell (Joe); several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Sherrow Vest; brother in law, Harold Carey; sister in law, Margie Carey; nephew, John Carey. Funeral Services were held at Pine Eden Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM with burial followed at Green Acres Memory Gardens. The family received friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service at Pine Eden Baptist Church.
