Gerald Theodore Dabbs

Gerald “Jerry” Theodore Dabbs, age 85, of Crossville, TN, peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on May 26, 2023.Mr. Dabbs was born on November 26, 1937, in Johnstown, PA, son of the late Theodore Roosevelt Dabbs, and the late Josephine Michelbacher Dabbs and Dorsey Cameron. Jerry served in the US Navy, worked at PSEG-NJ , and retired as Gas District Distribution Supervisor. He and his wife were parishioners of the Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Jerry enjoyed traveling the United States with his wife in their motor home. Their excursions often included visiting family, and traveling with friends. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Virginia “Ginny” Tomak Dabbs, sister Joan Smith (wife of Dave Smith), daughter, Kelly Fudala (wife of Joe Fudala), daughter Amy Dabbs, Gerald “J.J.” Dabbs (husband of Teleah Dabbs), grandchildren Alex Ruhfass (husband of Crystal Ruhfass),Bronwyn Gafgen (wife of Kenny Gafgen), Jerik Dabbs, Josephine Dabbs, Trenton Dabbs, Torin Dabbs, and Jimi Dabbs, great granddaughter, Nora Kelly Gafgen, numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and beloved pet Jesse. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Metzger (wife of Floyd Metzger). A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church, on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements and care will be provided by Bilbrey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Crossville, TN.
