George Hayden Ennis

George Hayden Ennis, age 62, of Crossville, TN, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, February 19, 2022. He was born on October 1, 1959, in Williams, AZ, son of George and Elizabeth (Hayden) Ennis. Mr. Ennis retired from the Bay Area Rapid Transit Police Department in 2009 after serving 28 years. After retiring in Crossville, he worked for the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office as a transport officer. He belonged to the Cumberland Plateau Amateur Radio Club, Elks Club, Fair Park Senior Citizen's Clubs, the 127 Senior Citizen’s Club, and was a member of the Simple Life Church. He also loved airplanes and was a great supporter of our Military. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sheryl Miller. Left to cherish his memory are his wife- Lynda (Havens) Ennis; Son- George A. Ennis; Daughter- Christina Martin and husband Zachary; Grandchildren- Bear and Lilly Martin; Niece- Joyce Hawkins and husband Ryan; and Sister- Karen Ennis. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Simple Life Church. Burial will follow at Crossville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 PM prior to the service. In honor of George’s favorite color, the family is requesting that guests wear blue.
