Fm "Pete" Godsey

F.M. (Pete) Godsey, age 71, of Rockwood, Tennessee, passed away on May 11, 2024, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mr. Godsey was born on December 29, 1952, in Crab Orchard, Tennessee, son of the late Frank Marion Godsey and Sylvia Lucille (Dannels) Godsey. Pete worked in roofing and construction. He was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his children, Shirley Sharp, Tinker Pete Godsey (Rachel), Amy Godsey, and Timothy Godsey (Amanda); grandchildren, Cody, Preston, Brooklyn, Devlyn, Makalyn, Leelyn, Shay, Waylon, Jacob, Ieasha, Breanna, Logan, Daniel, Sadie, Riley, Jeremiah, Piper, Kyler, Burklee, Wrenlee; 12 great grandchildren; Siblings, Diana Hale (Allen), Louise Cox, Patsy Barnes, and Ricky Godsey, in addition to many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Alice Bernice (Aytes) Godsey; son, Troy Pete Godsey; grandchildren, Ashlyn, Joseph (JoJo), and Asa Kemmer; siblings, Geroldine Conger, Christine Cox, Imogene Hoskins, Glenda Gunter, Pudgy Back, Brenda Godsey, Raymond Godsey, Tommy Godsey, Bobby Godsey, and Joe Godsey; special brother-in-law, Uh-Oh Aytes. Funeral Services will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 1:00 PM followed by burial at Ozone Cemetery.
