Eugene Ray Burgess

Eugene Ray Burgess, age 87, of Crossville, TN, passed away on January 3, 2023, at his home. He was born on March 22, 1935, in Crossville, TN, son of the late John Burgess and Clara (Thomas) Burgess. Eugene served our country in the United States Air Force and was a local business owner. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. He is survived by his son, Tim Burgess and wife Karen; grandchildren, Samantha, Solomon, Kelly, and Eric and 8 great grandchildren; brothers, James Burgess and Aaron Burgess; and daughter-in-law, Ronda Burgess In addition to his parents, Eugene is preceded in death by his wife, Rachel (Ward) Burgess; son, David Burgess; grandson, Justin Burgess; and siblings, Lucille Selby, Arnold Burgess, Eula Mae Burgess, Lloyd Burgess, and Wayne Burgess. Funeral Service were held at Cornerstone Baptist Church on Friday, January 6, 2023. Burial followed at Akins Cemetery. Arrangements and Care provided by Bilbrey Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
