Edith Jean Davis

Edith Jean Davis was born on Sept 25, 1935, in Barbourville, KY and went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2024. She was the daughter of Arthur and Rose Golden Mayne.

She was a schoolteacher in Cumberland County TN for 35 years.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Davis; brothers, Vernon Mayne and Wayne Mayne; sisters, Ella Mae Bruce and Mildred Conner.

She is survived by son Alan Davis (Melinda) of Powell, TN; granddaughter, Emily Hudson (Ryan) of Lake City, FL; and also, two great granddaughters, Nella Lopez-Davis and Layla Grace Hudson; sister, Annis Mahan (Vester) of Burlington KY; brother, Arlie Mayne (Jewell) of Florence KY; sister-in-law, Lillian Siler of Corbin Kentucky. She also leaves a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM (CST) at Bilbrey Funeral Home in Crossville, Tennessee. A funeral service to celebrate Edith's life will follow at 2:00 PM at the same location. Family and friends will then proceed to Green Acres Memory Gardens for a committal service.
