Donna Elizabeth Fisher

Donna Elizabeth Wood Fisher, 80, passed away in the early morning hours on Friday, September 8, 2023 at her home, with family by her side. Donna was born in New Haven, CT on August 11, 1943, daughter of the late Howell and Agnes Wood. She was raised in Old Lyme, CT until 1958 when her family moved to Westerlo, NY. Donna was a graduate of Berne-Knox Central School, class of 1961, and later attended Albany Business College. Donna married Ronald A. Fisher, her husband of almost 59 years on September 13, 1964. They had known each other since they were 15 years old. They had four children and moved to Crossville, TN in the fall of 1987. Donna enjoyed researching her family’s genealogy for many decades. She was an avid reader and she made beautiful afghans, as well as memory books for friends and family. Together, she and Ron attended the First Congregational Church of Crossville. She is survived by her husband Ron Fisher; children, Marshall (Ryung Kyong) Fisher, Ronda (Kevin) Padgett, Laura (Jason) Adams, and Ashley (Noble) Shih; grandchildren, Danny Fisher, Whitney (Hunter) Richardson, Sarah Padgett, Allison Padgett, Connor Padgett; sister, Sheila Wood Cooke. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her sister, Hazel Wood Flagler and brother, Howell W. Wood. A private graveside service for family will be conducted on September 10, 2023 at Green Acres Cemetery.
