Curtis Honeycutt

Curtis was given life on September 21, 1954 in Greenville, TN by parents Freda and Lee Williams of Madison County, NC. He was adopted, nurtured, loved and raised by Rev. Russell and Lucille Honeycutt of Crossville, TN. Curtis retired from the State of Tennessee DOC and DOT after 32-1/2 years. After retirement, Curtis enjoyed fishing, collecting and repairing fishing reels. Curtis was of the Christian faith. He is survived by his wife Karolyn “Janie” Honeycutt, Sons James Lee (Jennifer) Honeycutt of Crossville, Clayton and Nathan Honeycutt of Crossville. Grandchildren Chloe and Theodore Honeycutt (Alabama), Brayden, Kadence, Justin and Ciera Honeycutt (Crossville) and Hector and Alesa Honeycutt (Crossville). Brothers Jimmy (Joy) Belt of Limestone, TN, Leon (Teresa) Williams of Bulls Gap, TN, Bruce (Twila) Belt of Afton, TN; Sisters Janie Belt of Greenville, TN, Lisa (Bobby) Hilton of Mosheim, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Special Uncle Gene (Kathleen) Gosnell of Madison County, NC. Curtis is preceded in death by his parents Freda (Sam) Belt of Greenville, TN, Lee Williams of Madison County, NC, Rev. Russell & Lucille Honeycutt of Crossville, TN; Brother Ricky Carter of Greenville, TN and sister Peggy Henderson of Limestone, TN. Funeral Services will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the service. Pall Bearers: Tenny Randolph, Daniel Rice, Lowell Wood, Adam Music, Cody Brown and John Kilby.
