Charles "Charlie" Rogers

Charles Rogers, age 68, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025, at 5:33 a.m. at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, surrounded by loved ones. Born on November 13, 1956, to Virgie P. Rogers and Charles R. Rogers, Charles lived a life marked by resilience, family, and deep roots in his community.

Charlie is survived by his devoted wife, Marcia Rogers of Crossville, TN; his son and daughter-in-law, Joshua Danson and Jessica L. Danson of Jacksonville, FL. He was a proud grandfather to three grandchildren: Peyton Danson, Cayden Danson, and Alexandria Danson. Charlie also leaves behind two brothers, Ronald R. Rogers and James H. Rogers, both of Crossville, TN, who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgie P. Rogers and Charles R. Rogers; his brother, Billy R. Rogers; and his granddaughter, Kaylee Danson, who have gone on to be with the Lord.

Known for his quick wit and humor, Charlie had a gift for bringing laughter to those around him. A man of strong faith, he was a dedicated member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, where he found strength and community. An avid sports enthusiast, Charlie was a passionate supporter of the Tennessee Volunteers, cheering them on in football, baseball, and basketball with unwavering loyalty. His love for his family, faith, and the Vols defined much of his life, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Funeral Service will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM with burial to follow at Green Acres Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 PM prior to the service.
