Betty Jo Hyde, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Crossville, Tennessee, on March 28, 2025. She was 85 years old. Born on October 13, 1939, in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, Betty Jo was the daughter of the late James Elmo Roberts and Willie Mae (Pace) Roberts. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John Roberts and James Eugene Roberts; nephew, Tony Roberts; daughter-in-law, Betty Jean Luckey Hyde; and sister-in-law, Judy Roberts. Betty Jo worked diligently as a factory worker, embodying the values of dedication and hard work throughout her career. Her commitment to her family was unparalleled, providing unwavering love and support through the years. Betty Jo is survived by her loving children, son, James Hyde (Jo Ann Lewis) and daughter, Teresa Miller. Her legacy is also cherished by her five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who will remember her warmth, wit, and wisdom. She also leaves behind her devoted sisters, Marie Burnett and Wilma Jean Hyder, who shared countless cherished memories with her. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Betty Jo's life, honoring her enduring spirit and the love she spread to those around her. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Bilbrey Funeral Home, followed by burial at Pomona Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service. Pallbearers: Mark Roberts, Matt Roberts, Jonathan Loveday, Jabin Loveday, Rick Patton, and Kevin Miller.
