Betty Miller Benedict

Betty Miller Benedict, 95, passed away on May 13, 2023 at The Groves Assisted Living in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She was a nurse in the newborn nursery at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, retiring after 35 years. She is predeceased by her parents, Maggie and Bryce Miller; her husbands, Adin G. Benedict, father of her children and Les Montandon; son-in-law, Seward Norris; granddaughter, Amanda Norris; grandsons, Jason Norris and Ryan Benedict; and three sisters, Jo Maddux, Ernesteen Stanley and Johnnie Hinch. She is survived by daughter, Connie Norris; sons Gerry Benedict (Laura) and Randy Benedict (Nancy); step-daughter, Linda Weaver; and stepson, Ron Montandon. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Tays (Bill); 4 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff and nurses at The Groves of Oak Ridge, TN for the amazing care and love shown her. Thanks also to Amedysis Hospice, especially Julianna Schmitt, RN, for the wonderful care and support given. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home in Crossville, Tennessee on Saturday, May 20 at 12 Noon (CT). The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 PM (CT) prior to the service. Interment to follow at the Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Tennessee.
